Dear Silver Creek Families, Happy Friday! I wanted to wish you all a Happy Spring Break! School will resume on April 2nd, and we will all be ready to finish the school year strong! Just a friendly reminder, April 8th (Solar Eclipse Day), is a half day of student attendance for us, and dismissal will take place at 11:50. Finally, beginning April 9th, our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will be taking the required Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR Test) consisting of English Language Arts and Math assessments. If your child is testing, please ensure that they get a good night’s sleep and eat a healthy breakfast each day. 📅 At their February 26th board meeting, the Triad Board of Education voted to change the School Improvement Day scheduled for April 24, 2024 to April 8, 2024 due to the solar eclipse occurring during secondary dismissal on April 8th. The revised calendar has been posted on the district and all school websites.
