22-23 Elementary Principals

The Triad District is excited to announce the hiring and reassignment of its elementary school principals for the 2022-23 school year.  These positions were approved by the Triad Board of Education at the March 27th and April 25th meetings.  Congratulations to this tremendous group of educators!

Ms. Colleen Kremitzki has been named as the new principal at CA Henning Elementary.

My name is Colleen Kremitzki and I am very excited to be the 2022-23 principal of Henning Elementary School.   I earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and have a dual master’s degree from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in social work and educational administration. I continued my coursework after fulfilling these requirements because of my passion for education, and obtained my Director of Special Education endorsement. I have had diverse experiences throughout my career, working with children of all ages, but for the majority of my career and most recently, I have worked at the elementary level.  I have been at Triad over 20 years and have been working as an assistant principal at Henning since 2008.  I am very excited to continue working at Henning in this new position and look forward to working with our great staff, wonderful families, and energetic students.

Mrs. Cynthia Langston has been named as the new principal of St. Jacob Elementary.

Hi! My name is Cynthia Langston. I live in Saint Jacob with my husband, Arthur, and my two sons, Maximilian (4 years old) and Exton (2 years old). I graduated in 2004 from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville with a Bachelor of Science in special education. In 2010, I earned my Masters of Education: Curriculum and Instruction in Reading from Grand Canyon University and in 2012 I earned my administration certificate from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. I enjoyed teaching special education as a resource teacher for 10 years as well as being an elementary school principal for seven years in the Cahokia Unit School District. I’m passionate about education and look forward to building relationships with the Triad community, students and staff.

Mr. Chris Schomber has been named as the new principal at Marine Elementary.

My name is Chris Schomber and I am very excited to be the 2022-23 principal of Marine Elementary School. I earned both my Bachelor of Science degree in special education and my Master of Science in school administration from SIUE. I am currently pursuing my Chief School Business Endorsement and my Superintendent of Schools endorsement from the University of Illinois Springfield.  I was previously employed in the Alton School District for one year as a self contained special education teacher at North Middle School.  In 2003, I was hired by Triad and began the behavior development program at C.A. Henning Elementary as a self contained special education teacher.  I moved with the behavior development program several times: in 2004, I moved to Marine Elementary and in 2010, the program moved to Silver Creek Elementary.  In 2015, I changed roles at Silver Creek and became the 5th grade special education resource teacher.  In 2016, my administrative career began as the assistant principal at Silver Creek Elementary.  I have been very fortunate to have held a variety of positions and responsibilities in my 19 years of education.  The teachers, staff, students and parents of the Triad communities are the reason for our continued success and growth as a school district.  I am excited to begin the 2022-23 school year as principal of Marine Elementary.
